About Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar

In 2004, Carnegie Mellon and Qatar Foundation began a partnership to bring our own unique style of education to Qatar. The campus brings together the best of both worlds – CMU’s creative, visionary approach and Qatar’s drive for knowledge and advancement. Today, Carnegie Mellon Qatar offers undergraduate programs in biological sciences, business administration, computer science, and information systems. VISUAL DESIGN AND USER EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
 The vendor will be adept at creating websites that can easily handle both English and Arabic content.
 Develop a site design that optimizes user experience in both mobile and desktop. The site should also work on tablets.
 Incorporate elements such as mega menus, mega footers, integrated social media feeds, and dynamic, filterable and fluid news feeds throughout the site.
Ensure that the new site implements the WCAG 2.1 AA standard as a minimum requirement
The vendor must be able to incorporate inclusive and responsive design elements, including dynamic videos and images, while working within our brand guidelines and creative vision. https://www.cmu.edu/brand/.
 The vendor will make suggestions that will work better within the technical parameters of the WordPress theme, using minimal custom code.
 The vendor will create a new website that is flexible enough to host landing pages with a different look and feel within the public website. Landing pages are used on an ad hoc basis for projects that fall outside the standard website architecture.
• The theme be robust enough to enable us to extend its functionality and modify elements of the design independently.
